We offer comprehensive medical and rehabilitative services for both the long term resident looking to make this their home, and short stay residents who need additional services after a recent hospital stay. HOUSEKEEPER JOB DESCRIPTION

Cleans and maintain all surfaces within the facility by following housekeeping policies/procedures and infection control guidelines.

EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or equivalent (Required)

  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (Required)

  • Previous health care setting experience (Preferred)

COGNITIVE OR MENTAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB

Reading, writing, weighing and measuring capabilities. Contact with patients, resident, public and other facility staff members. Managing multiple priorities and ability to make decisions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB, DEPARTMENTAL EXPECTATIONS

  1. Clean and maintain facility restrooms, showers and bathing areas in a sanitary germ free manner and removes trash from all areas. Completes patient and resident discharges and prepares room for next admission.

  2. Clean all areas in facility as needed and as assigned following housekeeping policies and infection control standards.

  3. Uses all chemicals appropriately on the right surface with the proper dilution rate.

  4. Operates equipment such as buffer, extractor, vacuum and any other housekeeping equipment.

  5. Maintain proper level of supplies such as toilet bowl cleaner, toilet tissue, clearing clothes, etc. prior to end of shift. Check public areas to maintain safe and clean environment.

  • Day shift (8:30am - 3pm)

  • 60 hours per pay period and includes every other weekend
